RKSV stick replacement on behalf of the Austrian Ministry of Finance and Economic Chambers

Due to a security vulnerability ("EUCLeak"), the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and the Austrian Economic Chambers (WKO) have jointly decided that all RKSV signature units with the ACOS-ID 2.1 chip must be replaced by May 2027 at the latest. This affects all POS terminals from 2016 to 2025 with a physical RKSV stick – the signature device required by the Austrian cash register security regulation.

What does this mean for you and your POS terminal?

If your POS terminal is affected, we have already informed you by email or will do so over the coming months. Once you have actively agreed to the replacement, we will take care of all the necessary steps for a flat fee of € 190 net.

WHAT YOU GET FROM US

  • 1 new stick incl. signature card (sent by registered post)

  • 2 Instructions that let you carry out the replacement yourself on site in five to ten minutes

  • 3 Deregistration and registration in FinanzOnline

  • 4 Verification of the zero receipt

Between June 2026 and April 2027, you will receive the package by post – with illustrated instructions and a QR code linking to short video tutorials (in German) for your hardware. The replacement at the POS terminal itself takes five to ten minutes: old stick out, new one in, restart the POS terminal, create and check the zero receipt – done.

The POS terminal needs an internet connection for this process in order to load the current data from Fiskaltrust!

We have made sure to implement the replacement required by the BMF, as simply and cost-effectively as possible! If you are unable to carry out the replacement yourself using the enclosed instructions, our support team will be happy to help. Unfortunately, we have to invoice this service separately.

As usual, you can reach us on +43 7472 67 403 (Mon–Thu 8 am–5 pm, Fri 8 am–3.30 pm).
